A viral campaign is when you target to drive the exposure of a specific product or service using viral e-mail marketing and viral advertising these activities could be run in parallel with existing advertising methods or instead of. They will again rely on the speed of the viral e-mail and its exponential growth.

The advantages of the viral marketing campaign and its speed, gives the opportunity for short sharp campaigns with short life products or services to succeed. Whilst also allowing longer term marketing campaigns to piggy back the hyper marketing.
